Hamas responded to President Trump’s threat with this eloquent letter. Now we wait to see if they are true to their word. Hamas signaled openness to a full prisoner exchange and technocratic Gaza governance following President Trump’s strong ultimatum days before the second anniversary of the shocking attack on Israel. President Trump urges a pause to free hostages, with a Sunday 6 p.m. ET deadline.
That's the best-ever statement in history. Hamas' response to this deal is extraordinary beyond words.

Hamas writes English better than the entire English-speaking world that it even obliged Trump to share their statement although it has words: genocide and occupation prisoners pic.twitter.com/kQePIjbNBm
The president thanks his allies and looks forward to welcoming home our hostages
It is notable that Israel is not included in his list of countries he thanks. This was in his ultimatum, “Israel must immediately stop bombing Gaza”, and it generated positive reactions from Palestine, but shock and horror from the Israelis. This morning, reports in UK papers say ‘Dozens’ of airstrikes on Gaza despite Trump’s call for Israel to stop bombing immediately‘ as Palestinian officials accuse Israel of continuing to strike and shell Gaza City and other areas of the Strip.
Now this was unexpected….
